SAN DIEGO – San Diego will play its first game in over a week in a half as returns to action at BYU for a three-game series on Friday and Saturday.

The Toreros (19-21, 3-3 WCC) open the series against the Cougars (20-20, 5-1 WCC) on Friday at 4 p.m. PT followed by the second game at 6 p.m. PT. USD will conclude the series on Saturday at noon. All three games will be streamed on BYUtv Digital and live statistics will be available via USDToreros.com.

USD opened conference play with a three-game sweep of Pacific but ran into trouble during the second weekend, dropping all three games at Loyola Marymount.

Taylor Spence is first on the team with a .364 batting average. She has 226 career hits and needs seven hits to break the school record, held by Shaunna Collo (232, 1997-2000).

Sara Silveyra is hitting .363 on the year with 27 RBIs, 26 runs, 15 doubles and 16 walks.

Madison Earnshaw and
Delaney Heller have split a majority of the innings for the Toreros in the circle. Earnshaw holds a 5-9 record and a team-high 76 strikeouts. Heller is 10-7 and has permitted just 22 walks in 96.1 innings.

BYU is heading into the weekend 5-1 in WCC play. BYU took two-of-three games at LMU and swept Pacific at home last weekend.
