SACRAMENTO—San Diego women's rowing placed second at the West Coast Conference Rowing Championship on Saturday on Lake Natoma and three Toreros earned All-WCC honors.
Kadee Sylla,
Clare Adams and
Kira McPolin were named to the All-West Coast Conference Team as announced by the conference following the event.
Gonzaga took first place with 40 points after winning the varsity eight and second varsity eight finals to earn its fifth-straight WCC Championship and the automatic bid to the NCAA Championships.
The Toreros claimed second in the V4+, 2V4+ and V8+ and third in the 2V8+ to earn 34 points, tying LMU. However, USD's second place finish in the varsity eight put the Toreros ahead of the Lions.
The 2V4+ claimed second place in the first race of the day with a time of 7:57. The crew of

Negahr Rastguiy finished behind first-place LMU, beating out Portland, Gonzaga, Saint Mary's and Creighton.
The varsity four of
Juliette Owada (cox), Gilliam Duncan,
Chelsea Dunleavy,
Sarah Krystman and
Marissa Dzotsi also claimed second with a time of 7:44, just behind LMU.
The 2V8+ finished third with a time of 6:52 behind Gonzaga and LMU.
Roshni Polé (cox),

Blythe ter Kuile,
Nikki Moore,
Reyna Kirschell,
Hilde Ringger,
Brynne Stengel,
Kathryn Brady and
Amanda Finniefinished shy of first by a 3.7 second margin.
The varsity eight finished with a time of 6:36, four second behind first-place Gonzaga.
