SAN DIEGO—San Diego will conclude its nonconference schedule this weekend when it hosts its second invitational of the season in the Jenny Craig Pavilion.

The Toreros (4-4) will kick off the weekend against No. 20 Southern California (5-3) on Thursday. On Friday USD will take on cross-town rival San Diego State (6-3) before wrapping up the weekend against Long Beach State on Saturday. All matches are scheduled for 7 p.m. PT.Â

On Friday, USC and LBSU will face off in a neutral match scheduled for 4 p.m.Â

LAST TIME OUT
• The Toreros went 2-1 at the UCSB Thunderdome Classic, dropping their opening match to UC Santa Barbara 3-1 before sweeping both Harvard and La Salle, 3-0.

• USD dropped a tough opening match in Santa Barbara, 25-23, 22-25, 19-25, 22-25 to the Gauchos on Friday night. The Toreros then rallied to take down Harvard (25-14, 25-16, 25-15) and La Salle (25-13, 25-15, 25-23) in straight sets in a double-header on Saturday.

• San Diego took the opening set over UCSB 25-23 before dropping the next three. USD hit .154 compared to UCSB's .253 clip while the Gauchos were strong at the net, outblocking the Toreros 14.0 to 5.0.
Megan Jacobsen collected a season-high 16 kills in the contest.

• The Toreros hit .410 as a team against the Crimson and
Katie Lukes paced USD with 16 kills—one shy of her season high. USD held the advantage from the service line with six aces compared to Harvard's one.Â

Anna Newsome registered 27 assists, spreading the offense around evenly among the San Diego hitters versus La Salle. Jacobsen (.500) and Lukes (.563) led the Toreros will nine kills apiece, while Wiblin and
Hannah Patrick added eight and six respectively.

•Jacobsen and Newsome were selected to the All-Tournament Team after turning in strong performances in three matches. Jacobsen collected 30 kills (3.00/set) and nine blocks (0.90/set), adding two aces. Newsome tallied 95 assists (9.50/set), 23 digs (2.30/set), 10 kills and two aces.

ALL-TIME SERIES AGAINST USC
• The Trojans lead the all-time series with the Toreros 12-2. The teams met twice last season, most notably in the second round of the NCAA Tournament, with the Toreros coming out on top 3-0 to advance to the Sweet 16 for the fourth time in program history.

ALL-TIME SERIES AGAINST SAN DIEGO STATE
• The Toreros hold the advantage in the all-time series with SDSU, 31-24. Last season, the Aztecs took the city championship 3-0 to snap USD's five-match winning streak.

ALL-TIME SERIES AGAINST LONG BEACH STATE
• San Diego trails the all-time series with the 49ers, 10-16. This will be the first meeting between the two teams since a 3-1 victory for the Toreros on September 16, 2016 in the JCP.

• Despite dropping out of the AVCA Division I Coaches Poll in week two, the Toreros continue to receive votes in the top-25 poll.

OFFENSIVE EFFICIENCY
• The Toreros are currently hitting .298 as a team on the season to rank 17th in the nation and first the in WCC. USD is collecting 13.93 kills per set to rank 27th nationally and second in the conference.

Megan Jacobsen hitting .430 (29th nationally, 1st WCC) and
