SAN DIEGO - San Diego softball (0-2) will continue its 15 game home stand as it plays host to Grand Canyon and Cal State Fullerton for double headers on Saturday, Feb. 20 and Monday, Feb. 22.

Saturday's action kicks off at 4 p.m. with game two beginning at 6 p.m. (PT). Cal State Fullerton will take on San Diego at 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. (PT) on Monday.

LAST TIME OUT
- The Toreros fell in two games to cross-town rival SDSU as the Aztecs shutout San Diego in game one 8-0.
- Amanda Limon led the way offensively in game one for USD, going 2-for-3 with a triple.
- Madi Earnshaw looked to help the Toreros rebound, holding the Aztecs to only one run as the defense shined in game two.
- The Toreros could not push a run across and lost 1-0 on Wednesday evening.
FRESHMEN MAKING AN IMPACT
- Newcomers made their mark on opening day as Limon and Sofia Delgado led the offense in both contests.
- Delgado went 1-for-2 in game two against the Aztecs with a walk as Limon led the charge in game one
- Malia Benson earned her first collegiate start in game two in right field as the lefty went 1-for-3 at the plate.
- On defense, Limon thrived on the hot corner making multiple diving catches at third to hold the Aztecs off the board.Â
PITCHING BY COMMITTEE
- San Diego utilized its pitching staff on opening day as three pitchers saw action in game one before Earnshaw went the distance in game two.
- Freshmen Katlin Entrup and Tyra Clary made their collegiate debuts in game one as Entrup earned the start giving up six runs with only one earned.
- Courtney Rose also came into the circle for the Toreros pitching three innings, striking out three giving up three runs.
ALL-TIME SERIES AGAINST GCU
- The Toreros are 0-3 against the Lopes all-time. This marks the first matchup since 2016 between the two programs as GCU won 5-1Â
ALL-TIME SERIES AGAINST CAL STATE FULLERTON
- The Toreros will look to snap a one-game losing streak against the Titans as Fullerton leads the all-time series 7-2. The Toreros are undefeated at home going 2-0.
