SAN DIEGO—No. 18 San Diego will travel to Los Angeles for a pair of matches this weekend against Loyola Marymount in one of its final road series of the season.

The Toreros (10-0, 10-0 WCC) will face the Lions (4-6, 4-6 WCC) on Friday and Saturday with both matches scheduled for at 6 p.m. PT.

LAST TIME OUT
• The Toreros went 2-0 last week in their series with San Francisco, taking the first match 3-0 on Feb. 24 and the second, 3-1, on the afternoon of Feb. 25. USD's series at Pacific, originally scheduled for March 5 and 6 was postponed. Â

• USD took the opening match over the Dons, 26-24, 25-16, 25-23. The Toreros were led by
Katie Lukes with 16 kills in her first match of the season and
Roxie Wiblin chipped in 14 and 10 digs for her sixth double-double.
Laura Madill led the offense to a .256 hitting percentage, collecting 34 assists and the Toreros collected six team blocks, led by
Gabby Goddard who tallied all six block assists.

• In the rematch, the Toreros came out on top 25-17, 25-23, 23-25 and 25-16. USD put together nine team blocks and held USF to a .137 hitting percentage. San Diego was led by Wiblin with 13 kills and Lukes and
Grace Frohling with 12 kills each. Madill notched a double-double with 30 assists and 11 digs and
Annie Benbow collected 21 digs in the back court.

ALL-TIME SERIES AGAINST LOYOLA MARYMOUNT
• Friday will be the 84th meeting between the Toreros and the Lions. USD leads the all-time series 44-39 and took both matches last season, 3-1.

• The teams first met during the 1977 season and USD has won 10 of the last 11 matchups. LMU's last win came on Nov. 24, 2015 in the Jenny Craig Pavilion with a 3-0 victory.

IN THE RANKINGS
• San Diego moved down one spot to No. 18 in the AVCA Weekly Coaches' Poll for week seven, after not competing last week. USD came in at No. 17 in the previous week's rankings.

• The Toreros appeared at No. 23 in the AVCA Preseason Coaches' Poll and have since moved up six spots in six weeks of the season rankings.

• The Toreros have appeared in the national top-25 poll for 23 consecutive seasons, with 22 top-10 appearances. USD's highest ranking was No. 2 overall (Sept. 16, 2013).

LOOKING AHEAD
• Next up, USD will return to the JCP to host No. 15 BYU on March 17 and travel to Provo for the rematch on March 20. The Toreros will then return home for the final series of the regular season with two matches against No. 24 Pepperdine on March 26 and 27.

With Pepperdine and BYU splitting their series 1-1, the Toreros now sit alone in first place in the WCC with a 10-0 conference record. USD is set to face No. 15 BYU on March 17 and 20 and host No. 24 Pepperdine on March 26 and 27 for the regular season finale in the JCP.

WIBLIN DOMINATES OUTSIDE

Roxie Wiblin came out of the gate swinging to begin her senior campaign. The 6-2 outside hitter led the team in kills in seven of USD's first ten matches, including matching her career-high 20 kills against Portland (Feb. 10). Wiblin also leads the team with six double-doubles so far this season.

• Wiblin is hitting at a .306 clip and averaging 4.06 kills per set to start the season which ranks third in the WCC and 62nd nationally.

MADILL LEADING THE CHARGE
• Junior setter
Laura Madill has directed the offense to a .286 clip in her debut as the starting setter for USD, ranking second in the WCC and 15th in the country.

• USD is averaging 13.69 kills per set in its first ten matches, ranking second in the conference and 44th in the NCAA. Madill is also averaging 10.12 assists per set which ranks fourth in the conference and 61st nationally.

DOMINATING DEFENSE
• The Toreros rank third in the WCC (86th nationally) in blocks per set with 2.25 and fourth in the conference in digs per set with 15.86. USD has held its opponents to a .142 hitting percentage which ranks first in the WCC and 30th in the country.

• Freshman middle blocker
Elly Schraeder is leading the charge at the net, averaging 1.24 blocks per set to rank second in the WCC and 57th in the NCAA.
Lauren Turner also ranks in the top five in the conference with 1.06 blocks per set (5th).

The Toreros rank second in the WCC and 40th nationally in aces per set with 1.75. USD has collected 63 aces in ten matches to rank fifth in the conference.
