Women's Rowing Completes Competition at Head of The American

Torero 8+, 4+ hold their own on Lake Natoma

SACRAMENTO — Highlighted by strong performances from the USD 8+ and 4+, San Diego women's rowing turned in a solid outing last weekend at the Head of The American on Lake Natoma.

The First Torero 8+, rowed by Bella Kolander, Morgan Asher, GiGi Koerwitz, Annie McGee, Carly Logan, Addie Peebles, Caitlin Burns, Vivien Goretic, and Marisa Schulz (Coxswain) placed eighth out of 27 boats, just ahead of UCLA and only six second behind fifth-place Oregon State.

The Second Torero 8+, rowed by Clara Rasmussen, Emma McIntyre, Sara Schechner, Nicky Herrera-Ross, Emily Cary, Ali O'Dea, Kayla Baker, Genevieve Rovetti, and Sofie Ritter Pleitez (Coxswain) finished in the middle of the pack in 16th place.

San Diego's two 4+ boats also enjoyed strong performances. The First Torero 4+, rowed by Grace Conklin, Ella Moscoe, Reese Dunn, Lauren Peters, and Evy Melstrand (Coxswain) placed sixth out of 16 boats. The Second Torero 4+, rowed by Madison Dowson, Grace Kramer, Jayden Soukoulis, Analiese Kirschel, and Emma Zavala (Coxswain) finished in 11th place.
