McKenna Braegelmann pitched three scoreless innings in relief, allowing just one hit and striking out two batters.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- UCLA started the scoring in the bottom of the first. An RBI double, a hit by pitch with the bases loaded, and a two-RBI single made it 4-0.
- Starter Madison Earnshaw retired the Bruins in order in the bottom of the second, including two foul outs.
- UCLA extended its lead in the bottom of the third with four more runs. A bases-loaded walk, a sacrifice fly, and a two-RBI double put the home team in front 8-0.
- San Diego answered in the top of the fourth, as Kaiser launched a solo home run to right field.
- Daugherty led off the top of the fifth with a double to right field, but the next three batters were retired.
- Braegelmann went 1-2-3 in the bottom of the fifth, and got out of a bases-loaded, no-out jam in the bottom of the seventh.
- Daugherty roped another double, this time to left center in the top of the seventh, but the Toreros popped up to end the game.
TORERO TIDBITS
- Kaiser now has two home runs this season, and four in her career.
- Daugherty is up to six doubles on the year, which ranks third on the team behind JoJo Roberts and Noelle Hee.
- Braegelmann lowered her season ERA to 2.97.
- San Diego snaps a four-game winning streak.
- UCLA registered six hits, while USD had four.
