Thursday, October 19 - San Diego 3, Portland 0 (Jenny Craig Pavilion)
• San Diego seized control early last Thursday night and never looked back, sweeping Portland for a dominant wire-to-wire win behind a match-high 10 kills fromÂ
Amber Stivrins.
• The Toreros hung on for a 25-20 victory in the first frame, then rolled to 25-12 and 25-15 decisions to prevail in straight sets for the sixth time in their first eight West Coast Conference matches.
• USD — which did not trail at any point in last Thursday night's match and was tied with the Pilots just twice — held Portland to a minuscule -.011 hitting percentage, a feat that was bolstered by four blocks (one solo) fromÂ
Haylee Stoner.
Saturday, October 21, Pepperdine 3, San Diego 0 (Jenny Craig Pavilion)
• A tied-for-season-high 14 kills fromÂ
Kylie Pries last Saturday afternoon wasn't enough for San Diego to stave off a sweep from Pepperdine, dealing the Toreros their second West Coast Conference loss of the season as they dropped a 3-0 decision to the Waves.
• USD came out on the wrong side of a hard-fought 26-24 first set, then fell 25-16 in the second. San Diego established a six-point lead midway through the third frame but couldn't hang on and extend the match, suffering a 25-21 defeat as it fell in straight sets for the first time in WCC play this year.
•
Kylie Pries hit a team-high .290 as she added 10 digs to record her second double-double of the season.
Haylee Stoner and

• A native of Säo Paulo, Brazil, Terçariol joined the Toreros as a transfer before the pandemic-modified Spring 2021 season.
