SAN DIEGO – The San Diego softball program (8-17, 0-0 WCC) continues their lengthy homestand, hosting Harvard (7-6, 0-0 Ivy) for a doubleheader on Tuesday at 2 p.m., and 4:30 p.m., at the USD Softball Complex.

The game times have been moved up an hour from the originally scheduled times of 3 p.m., and 5:30 p.m., due to impending weather concerns.

LAST TIME OUT
- The Toreros split the final day of the San Diego Tournament, defeating Western Carolina, 8-1, and falling to Yale, 4-1, on Sunday.
- Madison Earnshaw threw a complete game against the Catamounts, striking out seven batters.
- Izzy Owen and Amanda Limon drove in two runs each in the win over Western Carolina, while Mikalyn Emanuelli added a three-hit day.

- San Diego leads the all-time series with Harvard, 5-2, but are meeting for the first time since 2016.

WHAT TO WATCH FOR
- San Diego has already played in eight games separated by one run this season, with several additional games featuring late-game, high leverage situations.
- Owen was named the WCC Player of the Week on Monday for the second consecutive week, following a week where she hit .500 with three RBI and two doubles.
- Owen is off to a roaring start in the month of March, hitting .560 with 10 RBI and four doubles this month and has led the Toreros to a 5-3 record this month.
- EJ Joyner is in the middle of an eight-game on base streak, good for the longest by a Torero this season.
- The Toreros are 6-2 in games where they register two or more extra base hits.

- Earnshaw (285) sits in sixth all-time in strikeouts at San Diego and needs 27 more to pass Colleen Norman (311) for fifth.
- Earnshaw also sits in eighth in pitching appearances at San Diego with 99 and in a tie for seventh with Jade Quentin in starts at 60. She is closing in on becoming the seventh Torero with 100 appearances in the circle.
- Taylor Johnson continues to draw hit-by-pitches at an enormous rate, ranking sixth in the nation and first in the WCC in hit-by-pitches per game (0.44). Johnson has been hit 11 times in 25 games.
- Owen ranks second in the WCC in hits (29) and ranks in the top-75 nationally. Owen also ranks fourth in the WCC in batting average (.392).
