SAN DIEGO – The San Diego softball program (13-19-1, 0-0 WCC) heads out for their final road trip before the start of conference play, traveling to Tucson, Ariz., to face No. 20 Arizona (20-12, 3-6 PAC-12) for two games and Georgetown (8-20, 3-6 Big East) on Friday and Saturday at the Bear Down Fiesta.

LAST TIME OUT
- The Toreros wrapped up their lengthy homestand with a doubleheader against St. Thomas, earning a split with a 2-0 win and 4-3 loss on Wednesday, Mar. 22.
- Emma Giaime threw six scoreless innings in the circle for the win in game one, while Mikalyn Emanuelli used her speed to help generate the go-ahead run.
- Joecellia Roberts was the offensive catalyst in game two, registering three RBI and recorded a bases clearing triple with only one out left to keep the game alive.

OPPONENT HISTORY
- San Diego trails Arizona 0-3 in the all-time series and are traveling to Tucson for just the second time and first since 2018.
- The Toreros have never faced Georgetown and are set to meet for the first time.

WHAT TO WATCH FOR
- San Diego has already played in 12 games separated by one run or fewer this season, with several additional games featuring late-game, high leverage situations.
- Izzy Owen continues to tear the cover off the ball in the month of March, hitting .481 with 11 RBI and six doubles this month and has led the Toreros to a 9-4-1 record during that span.
- Roberts is also rolling this month, hitting .367 with three home runs and 17 RBI. The sophomore has already set a new career-high in RBI and is the team's leader with 21 overall.
- Emanuelli is on a 10-game on-base streak which is a career high and season high by any Torero. Emanuelli is hitting .515 (17-for-33) with two doubles and two RBI over that span.
- The Toreros are 10-3 in games where they register two or more extra base hits.

TORERO TIDBITS
- After Giaime and Roberts took home the WCC Pitcher and Player of the Week honors on Monday, the Toreros now lead the league with five weekly awards this season. The duo joins Owen and Courtney Rose as winners this season.
- Madison Earnshaw (293) sits in sixth all-time in strikeouts at San Diego and needs 19 more to pass Colleen Norman (311) for fifth.
- Earnshaw also sits in sixth all-time in appearances with 102. Next up is Tiffany Wasilewski (104) in fifth.
- Giaime has featured excellent control since entering the collegiate game and ranks second in the WCC in walks allowed per game (0.82), which also ranks 19th in the nation.
- Taylor Johnson continues to draw hit-by-pitches at an enormous rate, ranking 18th in the nation and second in the WCC in hit-by-pitches per game (0.34). Johnson has been hit 11 times in 32 games.
- Owen ranks second in the WCC in hits (40) and ranks 41st nationally. Owen also ranks second in the WCC in batting average (.396).
