Women's Rowing Finishes Second at WCC Championship

Caitlin Burns, Gigi Koerwitz, Clara Rasmussen earned All-Conference honors

GOLD RIVER, Calif. — San Diego women's rowing finished second in the 2023 West Coast Conference Rowing Championship on May 13, placing just behind Gonzaga with a total of 33 points.

USD's performance in the event was highlighted by two second-place finishes and two third-place finishes. The Toreros' Varsity Eight came in second behind the Zags with a time of 6:42.937, joined by the San Diego Varsity Four, which also placed second with a time of 7:42.881. The San Diego Second Varsity Eight placed third with a time of 6:55.621, joined by the San Diego Varsity Four, which also finished third with a time of 7:42.989.

Following the event's conclusion, three Toreros were named to the 2023 Rowing WCC All-Conference Team: Caitlin Burns, Gigi Koerwitz, and Clara Rasmussen.
