Men’s Soccer Signs Luis Ludosan as Transfer

SAN DIEGO – The San Diego men's soccer program has added another standout transfer for the 2023 season, signing goalkeeper Luis Ludosan as a transfer.

Ludosan will join the Toreros with two seasons of eligibility, following three seasons played at Saint Joseph's.

"Luis has a great pedigree playing over in Germany for multiple top clubs," said head coach Brian Quinn. "His size and athleticism are some of his strengths that help him with shot stopping and dominating in the air. With multiple Division I seasons under his belt, we are excited to see what he can do as a Torero"

Ludosan comes to San Diego following the best season of his budding career, where he was named Second Team All-Atlantic-10 and an A-10 Defensive Player of the Week. Ludosan was among the top goalkeepers in the nation all season, ranking 10th in the NCAA in save percentage (0.823) and 24th in goals against average (0.79).

A native of Mannheim, Germany, Ludosan has played in 26 games over three seasons at Saint Joseph's, going 8-10-7 with a 1.09 GAA and .769 save percentage, while making 93 saves overall. Ludosan recorded six shutouts in his career, including five this past season.

The 6'7" netminder has stepped up in big games, leading the Hawks to a 1-1 draw with then No. 17 Dayton on Sept. 17 by making nine saves. Ludosan also recorded a six save shutout against Duquesne on Oct. 5, who was receiving top-25 votes at the time.

Ludosan is the fourth transfer to join this program this offseason, joining Denis Kelmendi (Falkenberg, Sweden/Seton Hall), Matteo Gasperoni (Cesena, Italy/Florida International) and Ryan Cedeno (Coconut Creek, Fla./George Washington).

Ludosan will look to follow the path of Jason Dubrovich, who joined last offseason as a graduate transfer and went on to win WCC Co-Goalkeeper of the Year honors.
