MALIBU – Set to compete against a quartet of opponents on Saturday morning, the San Diego swimming and diving team finished in third place at the Pepperdine Invitational with a team score of 111 points. 

Leading the way for the Toreros was a fourth place finish from senior Jane Riehs and a fifth place result for freshman Kaila Nguyen in the one meter race. 

Another strong performance from USD came from senior Gigi Zinis who finished in second place while racing in the 50 yard freestyle. Teammate junior Chloe Howell also turned in a sixth place finish in the same race.

USD is back in action two weeks from today as they will compete at the MPSF Open Water Meet in Long Beach.
