SAN DIEGO – The San Diego softball program (11-28, 0-0 WCC) returns home and looks to continue the momentum of last week, hosting California Baptist (20-18, 7-3 WAC) on Tuesday at 4 p.m., at the USD Softball Complex.

LAST TIME OUT
- San Diego finished off a three-game set at New Mexico State with a dominant, 11-3 run rule win in five innings in Las Cruces on Saturday.
- The Toreros poured in their highest amount of runs in a single game this season, as Taylor Johnson led the way with a four-hit day, a home run and two RBI.
- EJ Joyner added two RBI, Joecellia Roberts tacked on two RBI and Tele Jennings reached safely all four times with two hits, a home run and two walks.

OPPONENT HISTORY
- San Diego is 13-10 all-time against California Baptist, but are looking to snap a four-game losing streak in the series.
- Last season's scheduled game was cancelled due to rain.

WHAT TO WATCH FOR
- Joyner enters the week as the reigning WCC Player of the Week, following a week in which she hit .455 with three extra-base hits and 8 RBI.
- Mo Wimpee also enters as the reigning WCC Pitcher of the Week, following a standout nine innings in the circle against Arizona State.
- Johnson (14) and Jennings (12) both stand at the top of the single-season doubles leaders through the first 39 games of the season. The program record in a single season is 18, set by Lindsey Fleet in 2008.
- Johnson finished off a scorching hot month at the plate in March, hitting .431 (31-for-72) with a home run, 11 doubles and 11 RBI.
- The Torero outfield has developed a strong reputation on defense this season, as Jennings, Mikalyn Emanuelli and Carly Ruiz have a combined eight outfield assists after just one combined assist by Torero outfielder's last season.
- Amanda Limon continues to serve as the defensive leader of the team, while climbing the Toreros all-time assists list. Limon stands in seventh all-time (358) and needs 19 to pass Kathleen Bonja (376) for sixth.
- The Toreros also lead the WCC in fielding percentage (.964).

- Courtney Rose stands at 316 strikeouts and needs one more to pass Madison Earnshaw for fifth on the Toreros all-time strikeout list.
- Roberts (26) needs two more doubles to enter the top-10 all-time at San Diego and match Jade Quentin (28) for tenth.
- San Diego leads the WCC in doubles (53) and ranks 32nd nationally.
- In addition, Johnson and Jennings rank first and second in the conference and eighth and 23rd nationally.
- Arisa Tovar (11) continues to shine on the defensive end, ranking fourth nationally in runners caught stealing.
