Friday's opener is set for 5 p.m. Saturday features a doubleheader at 2:30 and 5 p.m., while the series will conclude on Sunday at 12 p.m.
Â
LAST TIME OUT
- The Toreros wrapped up a four-game series against Saint Mary's, falling in all four games to conclude the 2024 home slate at the USD Softball Complex.
- Despite the struggles, there were several standout performances, including from shortstop Amanda Limon in her final weekend at Torero Stadium.
- Limon hit .385 over the four-game stretch, including a leadoff triple on her senior day and a 3-for-3 performance in game two.
Â
OPPONENT HISTORY
- San Diego is 68-63 in the all-time series and are looking to recapture the same success the team found against the Broncos last season.
- The Toreros took two out of three games in last season's series at the USD Softball Complex.
Â
WHAT TO WATCH FOR
- The Torero outfield has developed a strong reputation on defense this season, as Tele Jennings, Mikalyn Emanuelli and Carly Ruiz have a combined 11 outfield assists after just one combined assist by Torero outfielder's last season.
- Limon continues to serve as the defensive leader of the team, while climbing the Toreros all-time assists list. Limon stands in sixth all-time (388) and needs three to pass Laura Cisneros (390) for fifth.
- Should Limon play in all remaining games this season, she could become the eighth Torero to ever play 200 games and the fifth to start 200 games.
- Joecellia Roberts (27) needs one more double to enter the top-10 all-time at San Diego and match Jade Quentin (28) for tenth.
Â
