SAN DIEGO — San Diego baseball released its full 2026 schedule today, as announced by head coach Brock Ungricht.

The Toreros' 2026 campaign will feature 51 regular-season games, including 26 matchups at Fowler Park and 25 on the road. USD will play 27 West Coast Conference contests next season alongside 24 non-conference clashes.

"I'm excited to reveal our full 2026 schedule, which features matchups against some of the nation's most competitive college baseball programs," said Ungricht, the reigning WCC Coach of the Year. "Each season, we aim to play in challenging non-conference games that will prepare us for conference play and the postseason, and this year is no exception. I can't wait to see our great Torero fans at Fowler Park and beyond as we pursue a third straight West Coast Conference championship in 2026."

USD will open up its 2026 schedule with three games at Charlotte from February 13 to February 15 before returning home for Opening Night at Fowler Park on February 20, which will see San Diego host Utah.

Other notable non-conference tilts for the Toreros in 2026 include home series against Michigan (February 27-March 1) and 2025 College World Series qualifier Oregon State (March 13-15), as well as a trip to the Bay Area for a four-game series at Cal (March 6-8) that features a Saturday doubleheader.

USD will visit crosstown rival San Diego State on February 22 as part of the Tony Gwynn Classic, and will play a home-and-home two-game set with UC San Diego (February 24 in La Jolla and April 21 at Fowler Park). The Toreros will also both host and visit perennial Southern California contenders UC Irvine (April 7 on the road and May 5 at home) and Cal State Fullerton  (March 24 at home and April 14 on the road). San Diego will travel to USC on March 11 to play the Trojans for the first time since 2024.

West Coast Conference play will see the Toreros host Gonzaga (March 20-22), Santa Clara (April 2-4), Seattle U (April 17-19), Saint Mary's (April 24-26), and Loyola Marymount (May 14-16). WCC road trips will see USD travel to Pepperdine (March 27-29), San Francisco (April 10-12), Portland (April 30-May 2), and Pacific (May 8-10).

The 2026 West Coast Conference Tournament is set to run from May 20 through May 23.

After a challenging start to its 2025 campaign, USD went 19-5 in WCC play last season en-route to a second consecutive WCC Regular-Season Championships, which it clinched with a dominant win over Pacific at Fowler Park on May 15. One week later, a walk-off homer from Aden Howard propelled San Diego to the WCC Tournament Championship Final at Las Vegas Ballpark, where it fell just one run short of punching its ticket to the NCAA Tournament.

The Toreros will return 13 players from last year's squad, including 2025 WCC Defensive Player of the Year Jayden Lobliner, 2025 All-WCC Second Team honoree Isaiah Lane, 2025 All-WCC Freshman Team selection Adrian Beltre Jr., veteran pitcher Drake Frize, who will make his return to the mound in 2026 after missing the 2025 season due to injury, and Howard, a 2025 WCC All-Tournament Team designee.

Thirteen players have been added to the 2026 San Diego roster as transfers, joining the Toreros from schools like Stanford, Oklahoma State, Columbia, Cal Poly, San Diego State, Gonzaga, and CSUN to complement a group of nine incoming true freshmen from top high schools in Southern California and beyond.
