Swim and Dive Kick Off MPSF Championships

ST. GEORGE, Utah – Beginning a big week to wrap up the 2024-25 season, the San Diego women's swimming and diving program raced in day one of the 2025 MPSF Swimming and Diving Championships Thursday evening at Utah Tech. 

The Toreros competed in a trio of events to begin this year's edition of the conference championships as they raced in the 200 medley relay, the 800 freestyle relay and individual time trials. 

In the 200 medley relay, San Diego put together a season-best time of 1:44.08 and followed that up with another new best mark for the 2024-25 campaign in the 800 freestyle relay with a time of 7:29.02.

Ava Delaney stood out for the Toreros in the 800 freestyle relay as she posted a lifetime best time of 1:52.22 racing lead off in day one of the conference championships. 

Racing in the first night of time trials, Ava Craig put together a career-best mark in the 100 butterfly with a time of 58.52, while Milan Bever also posted a new lifetime best with a 1:52.80 time in the 200 yard freestyle. 

USD now will look ahead to the second day of the MPSF Championships on Thursday, with diving beginning their first day of competition alongside swimming.
