CORVALLIS, Ore. — San Diego baseball (2-10, 0-0 WCC) is back on the road this weekend, traveling to the Pacific Northwest for a non-conference matchup with No. 8 Oregon State (7-3) at Goss Stadium.

First pitch in the series opener on Friday is set for 5:35 p.m., followed by a 1:35 p.m. start in game two on Saturday, and a 1:05 p.m. finale on Sunday afternoon.

All three games will be streamed live on KOIN 6 News, and radio broadcasts will be available on the Beaver Sports Network. Live statistics will be provided on StatBroadcast.

ALL-TIME SERIES VS. OREGON STATE
• The Toreros are 9-8 against the Beavers all-time, with the two teams' most recent meeting coming on March 7, 2023, when USD dropped a 9-4 decision to OSU in a midweek matchup at Goss Stadium.

• In June 2022, San Diego defeated Vanderbilt 2-1 at Goss Stadium as part of the NCAA Corvallis Regional before dropping a 12-3 decision to then-No.4 Oregon State at the same venue a day later.

• USD last beat the Beavers on March 30, 2013, when it earned a 13-3 win over then-No. 2 OSU at Fowler Park.

• San Diego's most recent win over Oregon State in Corvallis was back on May 10, 2010, when it took home a 4-1 victory at Goss Stadium.

FOR STARTERS (PROBABLE)
FRIDAY: Redshirt freshman right-hander Cal Scolari (1-1, 1.38 ERA) is set to start game one for the Toreros in Corvallis.

• Scolari last pitched on Friday, February 28 versus Cal State Bakersfield, when he threw five shutout innings while scattering three hits, walking two, and striking out nine.

• He shined in his collegiate debut in USD's season opener vs No. 23 TCU on February 14, striking out nine through five one-hit shutout innings. 

• Scolari was inactive for the entirety of his true freshman year at USD and his final year of high school while recovering from an arm injury.  He attended Bishop Manogue Catholic High School in Reno, Nevada, where he last pitched as a junior, posting a 2.50 ERA across 50.1 innings on the mound. 

• As a high school sophomore, he earned Second Team All-Region honors, followed by First Team All-Region honors as a junior

• Scolari was ranked the No. 7 player in Nevada and was one of Collegiate Baseball Newspapers' Top High-School Players in 2023

SATURDAY: Sophomore righty Logan Reddemann, the reigning WCC Freshman of the Year and a 2024 NCBWA Freshman Second Team All-American and 2024 All-WCC First Team selection, is set to take the mound for USD in game two on Saturday afternoon.

• Reddemann (0-1, 3.00 ERA) last appeared on Saturday, March 1 versus Cal State Bakersfield, throwing five innings while allowing an unearned run on two hits and two walks while striking out seven.

• He threw five solid innings in his 2025 debut against No. 23 TCU at Fowler Park (February 15), striking out eight while giving up three earned runs on just three hits.

• This offseason, Reddemann was also named the 2025 Perfect Game Preseason WCC Player of the Year, to the 2025 Perfect Game Preseason All-WCC Team, and to the 2025 WCC Baseball Preseason Team.

• He made 13 starts for USD in his dominant debut season in 2024, accumulating a 7-4 record with a 4.01 ERA and a 1.31 WHIP in 15 total appearances.

• In a team-high 76.1 innings last year, Reddemann struck out a team second-best 66 hitters, as well as starting two games that ended in shutouts.

• He was one of two players with seven wins for the Toreros on the mound in 2024, as he limited opposing players to a .224 batting average

• Reddemann was also one of two Toreros in 2024 to go eight total innings without allowing a run (May 4 vs Santa Clara)

• He became one of two USD players to strike out 10 hitters in a single outing in 2024 when he threw seven shutout frames on March 28 at Pacific while allowing just two hits and one walk.

• Reddemann pitched three innings in game two of San Diego's series versus Arizona at Fowler Park last year, allowing three runs (two earned) on five hits while walking just one and striking out six. USD went on to win that game by a score of 6-4.

• Hailing from Palmdale, California, Reddemann attended Quartz Hill High School in Lancaster, California, where he batted .420 across his prep career and compiled a 1.62 ERA. He earned First Team All-CIF Southern Selection honors in 2022 and 2023 and threw a perfect game during his senior season that included 11 strikeouts while going 3-for-4 at the plate with two doubles.

• Reddemann is a switch-hitting two-way player who can play middle infield and outfield in addition to pitching.

• Despite his youth, Reddemann brings big-game experience to the Torero rotation, having started in two postseason games in 2024: one against Portland in the WCC Tournament Championship , and one against the Gauchos in a 2024 NCAA Santa Barbara Regional elimination game. 

SUNDAY: Graduate righty Andrew Mosiello (0-1, 7.62 ERA) is set to make the start for San Diego in Sunday's series finale.

• Mosiello last pitched in game three of the Toreros' series against the Roadrunners (Sunday, March 2), working through three innings while surrendering two runs on five hits and one walk while striking out five.

• The veteran righty previously attended Oregon (2020-2023) and TCU (2024) before transferring to USD ahead of the 2025 season.  

• Mosiello went 0-1 with a 5.68 ERA in 12.2 innings across nine appearances in 2024 at TCU after posting a 4-2 record with a 4.40 ERA in 73 innings across 40 appearances from 2020-22 at Oregon. 

WHO'S HOT?
• Infielder Jack Gurevitch is leading the way from the plate for USD, batting .409 (18-for-44) with three doubles and four home runs, as well as driving in 10 total runs while scoring eight. 

• Nico Libed has earned a hit in each of his last eight games, while batting .310 (8-for-26) with five RBIs, three doubles, and two runs scored. In total, he's hit safely in eight of the Toreros' first 11 games in 2025.

• True freshman AJ Beltre has registered six hits in his last five games, and is batting .296 (8-for-27) with four runs scored.

LAST TIME OUT
• The Toreros dropped a 12-3 decision to UC Irvine last time out on Tuesday night, falling in a midweek non-conference matchup at Fowler Park.

• Junior right-handed pitcher David Horn Jr. got the start on the mound for USD and was sharp in his San Diego debut, striking out two while throwing a scoreless first inning.

• Beltre Jr. and AJ Anzai both drove in runs as part of a ninth-inning Torero rally.

OVER THE WEEKEND
• San Diego took two of three from Cal State Bakersfield this past weekend, beating the Roadrunners by scores of 6-0 and 3-2 on Friday and Saturday before suffering a 6-3 defeat in the finale on Sunday.
