SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. — After leading his team to a highly improbable victory with a pair of late clutch goals, USD men's soccer junior midfielder Noah James has been named the West Coast Conference's Offensive Player of the Week. James was a force in the San Diego attack against the Lancers as he registered a team-high six shots and buried the game-tying and game-winning goal in the waning seconds of Thursday's improbable 3-2 victory over California Baptist at Torero Stadium. 

James' brace was the third of his NCAA career and his first since transferring into the Toroero program prior to the 2025 season. The comeback marked USD's third consecutive victory over the Lancers in the regular season and provided some revenge after CBU knocked the Toreros out of the tournament at Torero Stadium back in November 2023. The strong overall team offensive execution helped USD record their second three goal match of the season after matching that mark just three times during the 2024 campaign.

San Diego men's soccer now continues their 2025 slate with two more home matches this week. The Toreros will first take on UC Santa Barbara on Wednesday, September 10 at 7:00 p.m., and will then return to the pitch on Saturday, September 13 when they face off with Kansas City for another 7:00 p.m. kickoff.
