SAN DIEGO — As the fall season winds down, the USD Women's and Men's Cross Country teams will race in the Highlander Classic this weekend on Saturday, Oct. 17. The Toreros will then race in the WCC Championships at home in San Diego before closing out the year at the NCAA West Regionals in Sacramento.

USD arrives with plenty of momentum, as the women placed 2nd of 24 teams at the Louisville XC Classic on Oct. 3 after finishing 28th at the UC Riverside Invitational on Sept. 19. The men's team climbed from 25th at that same Riverside meet to 11th of 23 teams in Louisville.

Senior Rebecca Bronstein led the way for the women in Kentucky, taking 3rd overall in 22:35.2 in the women's 6k race, with sophomore Clare Boneau (10th) and senior Camryn Kozak (11th) right behind her. On the men's side, Parker McAdam paced San Diego in 28th place with a time of 25:59.8 in the 8k race.

From Riverside, the Toreros head home for the WCC Championships on Friday, Oct. 30th, at 10:05 a.m. at Tecolote Shores in Mission Bay. USD will then send its runners up the California coast to close the fall 2026 season at the NCAA West Regionals on Friday, Nov. 13th at 10 a.m. at the Arcade Creek Golf Course in Sacramento.
