DAVIS, Calif. — San Diego softball (2-2, 0-0 WCC) was defeated 9-1 by UC Davis (2-1, 0-0 Big West) on Saturday afternoon at La Rue Field in game four of its five game slate at the NorCal Kickoff.
UC Davis scored one in the first, six in the second, one in the fourth, and one in the fifth and final inning to secure the run rule victory over USD.Â
The Toreros used three pitchers to navigate the fourth game of the weekend trip, with Charlie Johnson turning in a team high 2.2 innings.Â
Kaitlyn Wynia registered USD's lone RBI of the game with an RBI double to center field in the top of the third inning that plated Kaylee Oh.Â
The Toreros will be back in action tomorrow when they take on Cal Poly at Shea Stadium for their fifth and final game of the NorCal invitational. First pitch is set for 12 p.m.Â
