SAN DIEGO — San Diego scored three runs on eight hits but couldn't keep pace with Cal State Fullerton, falling 10-3 Tuesday evening at Reggie Smith Softball Complex.

Mallory Axline got the Toreros on the board in the first, reaching base and coming around to score after Kaylee Oh reached on a fielder's choice. San Diego added two more in the third when Axline doubled to left center and Abrielle Diaz followed with an infield single, setting the table for Oh's two-run triple down the right field line to tie the game up at three runs a piece after the Titans scored three in the top of the second and third. 

The lead didn't last long, however, as Cal State Fullerton erupted for five runs in the fourth inning to take control. The Titans sent nine batters to the plate in the inning, stringing together three consecutive hits and taking advantage of two walks to blow the game open. San Diego went scoreless over the final four innings, stranding seven runners on base on the night. Kaitlyn Bartlow started, before Kelsey Tadlock and Alex Riggs followed in relief for San Diego.
