LOS ANGELES, Calif. - An exciting swim meet Friday afternoon in Los Angeles between San Diego and Loyola Marymount was decided in the final event. Host LMU was able to edge USD in the 400 freestyle relay to claim a 139-123 victory. The Toreros trailed 101-87 in the later stages, but the relay team of Kelly Cobourn, Rendy Opdycke, Jamie Jackson and Claire Altenau convincingly won the 500 freestyle to pull USD to within one, setting up the exciting finish in the final event.
