SAN ANTONIO, Tex. - The University of San Diego swimming and diving team completed day three of the Western Athletic Conference Championships finishing events eight through fourteen.
To start the day, Sarah Gleason finished the 400 yard individual medley in 15th place with a time of 4:41.43. Teammate Rachel McKay took 16th place with time of 4:42.28. Following the 400 IM was the 100 yard butterfly. Senior Joy Miller finished in 6th place overall with a time of 56.77.
Event 10 was the 200 yard freestyle swam by Samantha Jafari taking 13th place with a 1:55.83 time. Erin Voyles was a few seconds behind her claiming 16th place with a time of 1:59.08 to round out the final times in the event.
Event 11 had four Toreros earning spots in the final of the 100 yard breaststroke. Haley Pittman placed 18th with a time of 1:09.17 followed by Michon Affinito taking 21st place in a time of 1:11.75. Kristina Levesque finished 23rd overall with a time of 1:13.12 followed closely by Alyssa Martinez with a 1:13.98 for 24th place.
In the 100 yard backstroke, Kristin Yoon was the lone Torero to make it to the finals finishing in 6th place with a time of 58.22.
The diving team finished their 3 meter board competition. Monico Addo scored 225.55 for 9th place. Amy Bogart placed 14th with a score of 199.85. Addy Bednarski rounded out the divers in 17th place with a score of 189.40.
Wrapping up the day was the 400 yard medley relay. San Diego's "A" squad finished in 8th place with a time of 3:56.07 USD remains in 8th place overall with a score of 159 overall points.
