After the Sooners added on three more runs in the top of the eighth inning, San Diego tried to put on a rally in the ninth. Zack Kometani got things started as he drew a walk to lead off the inning. Danny Hawksley then drove in Kometani with a RBI single to right field, but the Toreros could not push across another run to leave the game at its final of 7-1.
