AUSTIN, Tex. - The USD women's rowing team kicked off the Longhorn Invitational with a sweep of Central Florida in the morning session. The Toreros will face Kansas State, who beat Oklahoma earlier today, Saturday afternoon beginning at 3:10 p.m.
In the final race of the morning, USD's V8 finished in 6:46.1, edging UCF who came in at 7:00.9.
Prior to that, the Toreros' 2V8 beat the Knights with a time of 6:57.4 with UCF posting a time of 7:09.2.
The 1V4 and 2V4 boats also claimed victories, clocking times of 7:38.6 and 7:50.7.
USD's 3V8 kicked off the morning, by edging UCF by half a second. They came in at 7:07.5, while the Knights finished in 7:08.5.
The Toreros will take on Kansas State Saturday afternoon.
