LOS ANGELES, Calif. - The USD swim and dive team set two more school records Friday evening at the MPSF championships. Freshman Danielle Taylor set a new mark in the 100 butterfly and the Toreros bested their all-time best in the 400 medley relay.
Danielle Taylor's time of 55.13 in the 100 fly topped Carolyn Gorrick's 55.46 set in 2003. USD's record setting 400 medley relay was swam in 3:43.56 by Sarah Reierson, Bri Jurries, Mackenna Briggs, and Jackie Taylor. Their time topped last year's 3:44.15 by Reierson, Jurries, Taylor Noonan, and Jackie Taylor.
Other highlight's from Friday's evening session include Briggs' third place finish in the 200 free with a career best time of 1:49.16, as well as Reierson's fifth place finish in the 100 back (56.32).
MK Clancy (4:27.53), Morgan Scarth (4:29.25) and Liza Kuznetsova (4:31.07) all swam career best times in the 400 IM.
The Toreros wrap up the MPSF championships tomorrow beginning with prelims in the 200 Back, 100 Free, 200 Breast, 200 Fly, and 1650 Free at 10:00 a.m.
