Cami May and
Roxie Wiblin recorded 10 kills apiece to lead San Diego to a 3-0 victory over San Francisco on Saturday afternoon.

Sophomore hitter, May, hit .526 in the match and recorded a career-high 10 kills, to help USD (9-9) secure its second straight win. The Toreros won 25-12, 25-18, 25-20 to sweep USF (8-11, 1-7) and to improve 6-2 in WCC play.
Addie Picha led the match with eight blocks and also recorded eight kills.
Laura Madill and
Anna Newsome facilitated a majority of the attack with 21 and 17 assists, respectively.
Kelli Barry and
Annie Benbow led USD with 13 and 10 digs, respectively.

The Toreros started off hot, with an 8-2 lead. Picha dominated the start of the first set recording three kills and two blocks in a row to help the Toreros on a 7-0 run. USD maintained and extended that lead to secure a 13 point win in the first set, 25-12.

The Dons got into rhythm at the start of the second set, with their largest lead of the match 8-4. USD quickly responded on a 12-2 run to regain control of the match with a 15-10 lead.
Roxie Wiblin scored back-to-back aces to secure the Toreros win 25-18.

May lit up in the final set recording six of her 10 kills. USF came close to taking the lead at 9-8, but
Hannah Patrick responded with back-to-back kills to shift the momentum back to USD. The Dons tried to close the 22-13 gap with a 6-0 run, but USD was able to finish the match on top 25-20.

The Torero's recorded a .514 hitting percentage as a team in the third match and .375 overall.

USD will look to extend its two-game winning streak as the team hosts Pepperdine on Thursday at 8 p.m. and Loyola Marymount on Saturday at 12 p.m.
