Coming off two strong performances against Saint Mary's and Pacific, the Toreros (6-7-4, 2-1-2 WCC) will take on the Lions (5-11-0, 2-3-0 WCC) on Sunday at 2 p.m.

Matt Wiher has been playing well in goal for the Toreros. He has started 14 matches for USD this season and tallied 57 saves.

• The redshirt freshman is ranked second in the WCC in save percentage (0.826) and saves (57) and third in goals-against average (0.83) and shutouts (4). Wiher ranks in the top 50 nationally in save percentage (16th) and goals-against average (41st).

• Wiher made a career-high eight saves in San Diego's 1-0 victory over CSUN on Sept. 23, and has since tied that twice with eight saves against San Francisco (Oct. 7) and against Pacific (Oct. 28).

BRIAN QUINN ERA BEGINS
• After eight seasons as an assistant coach and three years as an associate head coach, Quinn took the reins of the program in 2018 and made his head coaching debut against UC Irvine on Aug. 24.Â

Seamus McFadden, who served as the head coach for the first 39 years of the program, remains on Quinn's staff as an assistant. Mike Nicholson continues on as an assistant coach and enters his 14th year with the program in 2018.
