Hubel Breaks Own School Record

ANNAPOLIS, Md. - Alex Hubel broke her own school record in the 100 yard butterfly to highlight San Diego's second day at the CSCAA National Invitational at Navy.

Hubel clocked in at 53.65 to finish first in the B-final and finish ninth overall in the event.

Kailyn Evans also had a nice day in the individual events and swam a personal best, 1:02.37, in the 100 breaststroke to place fifth overall.

A day after strong showings in two relay events, the Toreros continued to swim well with the quartet of Hubel, Evans, Mackenna Briggs and Danielle Taylor pacing eighth in the 800 freestyle relay. The group touched in at 7:26.90.

The Toreros are in 11th place with 91 after two days of competition and one remaining. USD concludes its weekend of competition Saturday.
