CHULA VISTA, CALIF. — USD women's rowing's Varsity Four captured a win over UCLA on Saturday morning, taking down the Bruins at the Elite Athlete Training Center in Chula Vista, California. The Toreros' victory marks the second weekend in a row the team has captured at least one win.

In the varsity fours race, USD had two boats competing. UCLA had a strong start and led both USD boats by half a length. Through the 500 meter mark, the USD A boat started to pull even with UCLA. The A four continued to gain speed through the middle of the race and continue to open the gap between them and UCLA. Through the last 500 meters, USD A extended their lead and got open water on the field.

The varsity eight came off to a fast start but UCLA edged out the Toreros steadily over the 2000 meter race.

The 2V lost ground over the first 500m, but held the same margin over the rest of the race to come in 6 seconds behind UCLA. Full results and lineups are below.
