Orlando, Fla. - August Holmgren advanced to the Round of 32 in the NCAA Singles Championships with a thrilling 7-5, 3-6, 6-4 victory over No. 32 Tim Sandkaulen of Ole Miss at the USTA National Campus. 

With the first set tied at 5-5, Holmgren took control and earned a huge break to put himself up 6-5 and held to win in the first set. After Sandkaulen won the second set, he responded and earned his way into the Round of 32. He will take on No. 4 Duarte Vale at 11:00 a.m. (PT). 

Vale defeated Jeffrey Von Der Schulenberg of Virginia  6-1, 6-0 on Sunday.
