SAN DIEGO — The Toreros gave it their all at the Triton Invitational and set 13 new personal records across seven races on Saturday, April 9, 2022. Daniella Hubble finished in first place in the Women's 3km Steeplechase. 

Daniella Hubble led the Toreros by placing first overall in the Women's 3km Steeplechase and set a personal best of 11:21.54. Sofia Green led San Diego in the Women's 1500m to finish in 14th place and set a new personal record of 4:54.23. Amanda Ghuibaudo placed 19th overall at 5:02.57 and Sophia Hamstreet placed 23rd at 5:05.59. In the Women's 3000m, Maddie Heller placed fifth at 10:19.97 for a new personal best and tenth fastest all-time record at USD. Overall, 12 runners set new personal records on the women's team. 

On the men's team, Ethan Steiner led the men's team in the 1500m race placing 12th and set the 4th fastest all-time record of 3:37.95 at USD. In the 800m race, Russel Gokemeijer placed 14th and set a new personal record of 1:56.01. Will Stefanou finished in 21st place at 1:58.89 for the 8th fastest USD all-time record. 

The Toreros will compete at Mt. San Antonio College on April 14, 2022 in Walnut, CA.
