SAN DIEGO – The San Diego men's soccer program (9-4-3, 3-1-1 WCC) hosts Pacific (5-6-4, 1-3-1 WCC) on Saturday at 7 p.m., to open the final home stretch of the regular season at Torero Stadium.
LAST TIME OUT
- The Toreros won a key contest on the road at then first-place Santa Clara, winning 2-1 to move into first place in the WCC.
- San Diego got the opening goal from Cesar Bahena, before Mason Tunbridge created some breathing room with a goal in the second half.
WHAT TO WATCH FOR
- San Diego is seeking to become the WCC's first repeat champion since Saint Mary's in 2018 and 2019.
- The Toreros currently control their own destiny, standing in a tie for first place with Santa Clara and holding a tiebreaker advantage with two games left in the regular season.
- The Toreros have an RPI of 28, as they make a push for a second consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance.
- The Toreros rank 24th in the nation in total assists (33), while also ranking 48th in total points (83).
- In addition, the Toreros rank 28th nationally in assists per game (2.06) and 51st in points per game (5.19).

- The defense remains a strong point, as the team is anchored by reigning WCC Defender of the Year, Trevor Dillon.
