MALIBU — Competing in the team's first road meet of the 2025 fall season, the San Diego Swimming and Diving team were in action for the Pepperdine Invite at the Raleigh Runnels Memorial Pool on Saturday morning.
27 total USD swimmers and divers competed in Saturday's meet at Pepperdine as the Toreros competed in 10 total events with nine of them being swim events to go along with the one meter dive. For the quartet of San Diego divers it was their first action of the new season.
Sydney Wilson had another strong weekend for the Toreros as she earned a first place finish in the 400 individual medley by posting a time of 4:33.42. Leading the way for the USD divers, Morgan Divita turned in a fourth place finish with a combined score of 226.10 in the one meter dive.
Alison Diehl was also able to reach the podium for the Toreros as she came in third place racing in the 200 freestyle and putting together a time of 1:55.12. Her impressive showing in her race marked a new personal-best time for the USD freshman.

The Toreros now look ahead to welcoming USD swimmers and divers from across the generations as they will host their Alumni Meet on Saturday, October 11 at 10:00 a.m. from the USD Sports Center Pool.
