ST. GEORGE, Utah – Finishing up a busy week of racing, the San Diego swimming and diving team competed in the last day of the 2025 Utah Tech Invite on Saturday. 

The Torero swimmers raced in six different competitions to wrap up the meet as the team swam in the 1,650 freestyle, 200 backstroke, 100 freestyle, 200 breaststroke, 200 butterfly and the 400 freestyle relay. 

Sydney Wilson had a tremendous showing on Saturday as she turned in a fourth place finish with a time of 17:18.10 in the 1,650 freestyle. Doing well in the same event on the meet's final day, Anna Vermeulen came in ninth place with a time of 17:40.09. 

As a team, the Toreros finished sixth in the eight team meet with a combined team score of 176 across the 36 events over the four day meet.
