LOS ANGELES, Calif. - The University of San Diego swimming and diving team competed in a three-way meet with UCLA and Idaho at the Spieker Aquatics Center on the campus of UCLA. The Toreros fell 88.5-140.5 against UCAL and 107-130 against Idaho.
USD opened the 200 yard medley (Kristyn Deckard, Melissa Andruzzi, Kellie Stone, Jacquie Kimmel) with a fifth place finish in 1:47.69.
Emily Lightcap got a team high sixth place for USD in the 1000 freestyle in 10:47.70 followed by teammate McKenzie Tolan in 10:54.57 for eighth place.
Kelly Stone had a team high first place finish in the 100 butterfly with a time of 57.45. Eleanor Phillips picked up a fourth place finish in 1:00.26.
Francesca Finucane took first place in the 100 freestyle with a mark of 52.55 followed by Sarah Geerdes with a 52.55 mark.
On the diving side, Monica Oddo took fifth place in the 1 meter event with a score of 203.25 and a score of 215.18 in the 3 meter event.
USD's A squad in the 400 freestyle relay (Finucane, Deckard, Stone, Geerdes) finished in a time of 3:33.65 for fourth place.

The Toreros will return to the water on November 5 for a two-day meet at the Cal Poly Invitational in San Luis Obispo, California.
