SAN DIEGO, Calif. - The University of San Diego Swim and Dive team fell to San Diego State Saturday afternoon at the Aztec Aquaplex 144-126, but managed to earn four first place finishes and Keenan Lineback recorded some of the fastest times in the facilities' history.
Lineback's time of 2:03.04 in the 200-yard butterfly was the third fastest time ever at the Aztec Aquaplex. Lineback's 10:16.83 finish in the 1000-yard freestyle was the sixth fastest for the facility.
Sarah Reierson also had a strong showing on the day. She finished first in the 200-yard IM with a time of 2:07.04: She also earned second place in the 100 (58.85) and 200-yard backstroke (2:07.41).
Gwen Walter finished first in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:04.67, while Jackie Taylor earned second place in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 53.09.
Other highlights include a third and fourth place finish in the 1000-yard freestyle by Morgan Scarth (10:49.71) and Claire Tolan (10:51.42), Taylor Noonan's third place in the 200-yard backstroke (2:10.86), and Lineback's season-best time of 2:09.48 in the 200-yard IM.
USD's A Relay (Noonan, Jones, Walter, and Taylor) had a strong showing in the 400-yard freestyle relay, posting a 3:34.22.
Morgan White earned a 210.53 in the 1 meter diving event and a 238.50 in the 3 meter. The Toreros will return to action on Saturday when they host UC San Diego for an 11:00 a.m. meet.
