Both teams had the turn with the lead early on, and neither team had a lead bigger than four. Then with the score knotted at 15-all, a Pepperdine attack error sparked a 7-1 USD run giving San Diego complete control of the momentum with a 21-14 lead. USD then cruised its way to a 25-22 win to complete the sweep over Pepperdine.
The Toreros will return to action on Saturday, as they host Loyola Marymount University in a 12 p.m. match at the Jenny Craig Pavilion.
