SAN DIEGO, Calif. - The University of San Diego baseball team dropped a 3-0 decision to San Diego State University Tuesday evening in a non-conference game at Fowler Park.

With the loss, the Toreros fall to 28-19 overall, and saw their three-game winning streak come to an end. With the win, the Aztecs improve to 32-18 overall and have swept the season series with the Toreros.

The Aztecs managed to score a pair of runs in the top of the seventh inning. The SDSU runs came on a Danny Sheehan RBI single and a Steven Pallares run-scoring double to grab the momentum and a 2-0 lead.

The Aztecs then managed to score one run in the top of the eighth on a balk to put the game at its final of 3-0.

Offensively for the Toreros, Jesse Jenner, Ryan Kirby, Jerod Smith, and Riley Adams all collected one hit a piece to give USD its four hits on the evening.

Taylor Kaczmarek had a brilliant outing in his first career start, as he took a no-hitter into the fifth inning before Sheehan broke it up with a stand-up double in the top of the fifth inning. Kaczmarek had faced the minimum before this double, and finished his day allowing no runs on one hit in 6.0 innings of work. Daniel Reitzler (2-2) was saddled with the loss, as he allowed three runs on four hits in 2.0 innings of work. SDSU's Cody Thompson (3-4) was credited with the win, as he allowed no runs on four hits in 9.0 innings of work.

The Toreros will return to action on Friday as they welcome Pepperdine University to town for the start of the final West Coast Conference series at Fowler Park. First pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m.
