Â
• The Toreros held a 1-0 lead heading into the seventh inning against OU, but the Sooners hit a grand slam in the top of the inning to pull ahead, adding two more runs in the ninth to seal the victory.
Â
•Â
Chris Murphy (1-1, 3.18 ERA) got the start on the mound for USD and pitched a gem through six innings. Murphy and the Toreros retired 18 of the first 19 batters faced, including 12 strikeouts, before two singles and a hit-by-pitch loaded the bases for the Sooners in the seventh. Â
• Murphy went 6.1 innings for the Toreros, giving up three hits and four runs with one walk and 12 strikeouts.
Â
•Â
Nathan Walker collected five strikeouts, giving up one walk, one hit and two runs in relief of Murphy. Walker's only allowed hit was a two-RBI triple by Hardman in the top of the ninth, which effectively put the game out of reach for USD.

Ripken Reyes to take an 8-0 lead before the Bears got on the board in the top of the fourth with a two-out RBI single up the middle.
Â
• MSU got three more runs in the top of the sixth, but the Toreros answered immediately when Ricketts hit a triple down the right field line with the bases loaded to make it 11-4, Toreros. One inning later, Ricketts hit a double to right center field for two more RBIs and a 14-4 lead for USD.
