SAN DIEGO – The San Diego men's tennis program concluded their highly successful fall season with a pair of events, as the Toreros competed at both the ITA Fall Nationals and hosted the Hagedorn Hidden Dual this weekend.    
 
HOW IT HAPPENED

• The week opened with the No. 23 ranked duo of Iiro Vasa and Sacchitt Sharrma competing at ITA Fall Nationals.
• Despite a first set win in their round of 32 matchup, they were unable to hang on to a win.
• Both Toreros would come home to compete in the Hagedorn Hidden Dual later in the week.
• Day one proved to be a massive success for the Toreros, who combined to go 8-1 overall against opponents from LSU, Arizona and Pepperdine.
• Day two saw the majority of action against Tennessee and Baylor as the Toreros fought against some of the nation's best.
• Lambert Ruland struck for a ranked win over No. 121 Angel Diaz of Tennessee, recovering from a set down to earn a victory.
• Ruland continued his big day by teaming up with Vasa to defeat No. 48 Martin Breysach and Oskar Bostrom Poulsen of Baylor in a 6-4 victory.
• To cap off the weekend, Vasa shined for a big win over No. 87 Jay Friend of Arizona in three sets on day three.
• Savriyan Danilov also capped off a 3-0 week of singles by defeating Sasha Rozin of Arizona.

 
San Diego will return to action in January, as they get set to open dual match play for the spring season.
