CLAREMONT – Returning to the pool for their final meet in October, the San Diego women's swimming and diving team competed in a three team meet against Pomona-Pitzer and California Baptist on Saturday afternoon at Halderman Pool. 

25 total San Diego student-athletes were in action during Saturday's meet as the Toreros fielded competitors in the following events: 400 medley relay, 1,000 freestyle, 200 freestyle, 100 backstroke, 100 breaststroke, 200 butterfly, 50 freestyle, 100 freestyle, 200 backstroke, 200 breaststroke, 500 freestyle, 100 butterfly, 400 individual medley, 200 freestyle relay as well as the one and three meter dive. 

Sydney Wilson had another strong showing for the Toreros as she came in first place in the 1,000 freestyle and 400 individual medley, while also turning in a second place finish in the 200 backstroke. Elise Sullivan also had a good performance with a first place finish in the 100 breaststroke and followed that with a second place mark in the 200 breaststroke. 

On the diving side, Morgan Divita earned a fourth place spot in the three meter dive and came in sixth place while competing in the one meter dive on Saturday afternoon.

The Toreros will now enjoy some much needed rest before returning to competition in mid-November. San Diego's swimmers will head to Utah from November 19-22 when they race at the Utah Tech Invite, while the USD divers will remain in Southern California to compete in the USC Diving Invite that will take place November 20-22.
