CHULA VISTA – Back in action close to home for the first time this month, the San Diego women's rowing team competed in the Triton Invite over the weekend at Otay Lake.
USD began their weekend with five boats competing against conference foe Saint Mary's on Saturday, and then took on crosstown rival UC San Diego in five more races on Sunday morning.
The Toreros totaled five first place finishes across all of the team's races over the weekend, as the 1V4 and 2V8 had a pair of first place finishes in Chula Vista. USD's 2V4 crew also had a strong showing as they earned a first place finish during Saturday's race.
