RANCHO CORDOVA, Calif. – In action for the final time during the spring season, the San Diego Women's Rowing team was in action this weekend for the two day West Coast Conference Championships at Lake Natoma in Northern California.
The Toreros fielded four boats on both Friday and Saturday as they raced against the following conference rivals: Creighton, Gonzaga, Oregon State, Portland, Sacramento State, Saint Mary's, Santa Clara and Washington State.
San Diego wrapped up the weekend by finishing in fifth place overall as they accumulated a total of 30 points. The Torero crews had a strong start to the weekend with a pair of second and third place finishes on Friday afternoon, USD followed that up by turning in three fourth place finishes and a sixth place result in the grand finals on Saturday morning.
A pair of Torero student-athletes picked up All-WCC recognition for their strong racing on Saturday as Annika Goodwyn and Grace Kaufmann were named to the All-WCC Rowing Team.
