Women's Rowing Races at Oregon State Invite

LOWELL, Ore. – Competing in the team's final race of the regular season, the San Diego Women's Rowing team was in action on Saturday morning to compete at the Oregon State Invite at Dexter Reservoir. 

The Toreros fielded five boats on Saturday as they competed against Oregon State, USC and Sacramento State on a comfortable morning in the Pacific Northwest. 

USD's Second Varsity 4+ crew had a nice showing with a second place finish in their race with a time of 8:04.16. San Diego also picked up a trio of third place finishes to go along with one fourth place result. 

"We are really proud of the way the team is building on the momentum we picked up after last week's racing," USD assistant coach Charlotte Smith said. "We're pleased to have continued success against some teams in our conference and the team is looking forward to putting the finishing touches on our speed heading into the conference championships!"

Second Varsity 4+: 3rd place (8:30.93)
First Varsity 4+: 3rd place (8:22.03)
Second Varsity 8+: 3rd place (7:29.27)
First Varsity 8+: 4th place (7:15.79)
Third Varsity 4+: 2nd place (8:04.16)
